A community empowering single parents with home essentials and financial literacy to build stable, nurturing homes, and new beginnings.

The Home, The Heart, The Matriarch

My grandmother, Georgia “Marie” Daniels, was not only my heart but one of the heartbeats of our little community in Coxton, Kentucky. Her home was a gathering place — where people came for advice, prayer, or simply a good meal. She built a legacy rooted in love: love of God, love of people, and love of me. ❤️

Even with humble means, her home radiated warmth, welcome, and peace. She believed in uplifting others — her family, her neighbors, and her community — to leave the world better than she found it.

At Marie’s House, we honor her spirit by continuing that legacy. With your support, we strive to create homes and spaces filled with the same love, comfort, and hope that she so freely shared.

How we Service Our Community

What Our Community Is Saying

As a single mom, every decision feels heavy—especially when it comes to choosing between necessities. This year, I found myself torn between buying furniture for my girls, paying for unexpected car repairs, and keeping up with rising grocery costs. It felt overwhelming at times. But 2025 has been a year of constant provision. Even when I didn’t know how things would come together, God showed up—again and again.

Through Marie’s House, God blessed my girls and me with a beautiful couch, a rug, and artwork. What may seem like furniture to some meant peace, comfort, and togetherness for us. For the first time, we have a couch that fits all three of us—where we can sit close, watch movies, laugh, rest, and just be. This gift lifted a weight I didn’t even realize I was carrying. Because of this blessing, I can now focus on other needs without stress, knowing that God saw us and provided at the perfect time.

God, Thank You for Marie’s House. Thank You for using people and organizations to remind single moms like me that we are not forgotten. We are covered, seen, and deeply cared for.

I’m a single mom of two girls, ages 3 and 7 who lives on Capital Hill in Washington DC. I have been on my own going on 3 years now after recently losing my Great Grandmother who was 96. I lived with her since I was 12.

I suffer with depression and anxiety. I am the best mom I can be. I’ve been through a lot since a little girl but I’ve grown to overcome things I couldn’t change.

The lost of my Grandma was a big factor. She was my best friend and my guardian angel, she helped me to become the woman I am today. She taught me life lesson and help me build what I have today.

I just want say thank you for everything Marie’s House has provided my family this holiday season.

Receiving essential furniture for my home from Marie's House came at a truly pivotal moment in my life. I am currently focused on making a significant fresh start, which involves shedding old relationships and actively replacing furniture that was attached to difficult memories.

Your assistance provided more than just household items; it offered a tangible foundation that is helping me secure a positive new chapter. Sometimes, a completely fresh beginning is exactly what is needed, and I am grateful that your generosity is allowing me to move forward with a renewed sense of hope and leave the troubling times firmly behind.
